The ice in an ice rink is kept alive by the refrigeration plant, compressors that run non-stop all season. When they drop out at night, a few wasted kilowatt-hours are not the problem. The ice gives way within hours and takes the whole week with it: practices, matches, public skating, rentals.
That’s why Enmon meters critical systems at short intervals and compares consumption against the normal profile. A deviation means a phone notification, to the caretaker, the plant operator, whoever is on duty. Next to this is the log of one model night.
This isn’t optimisation, it’s insurance. One averted breakdown pays for it, and the savings on the bills are a bonus on top.
Plant room consumption dropped out of profile. The compressors went quiet and the pipework temperature starts to climb. Enmon detects an anomaly in the metering data.
Notification to the caretaker and the plant operator: “Refrigeration plant room, consumption outside the usual profile. Check the equipment.”
Service crew on site, cooling is running. Plant room consumption returns to the normal band, pipework temperature is falling.
Morning practice on hard ice. Nobody in the arena can tell anything happened overnight.
